- Assert only what the data shows. A three-year decline is a three-year decline — it is not a prediction, and it is not a cause.
- Answer in your own words
- Comprehension is tested by re-expression. Copying whole sentences shows only that you found the line.
- The passage is the only authority
- If an answer is sensible but contradicts the passage, it is wrong. Outside knowledge does not override the text in an unseen-passage question.
