Best colleges for B.Sc. in science and maths

No agency ranks B.Sc. departments, so this list takes the NIRF 2025 College ranking (all degree colleges, all streams) and keeps the first 50 colleges whose own website lists a B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, a life science or Mathematics. The ranks are NIRF's, not ours. The subject marks were read off each college's site.

Top 50 NIRF-ranked colleges with a B.Sc.

Phy, Chem, Bio, Maths: a green mark means the college's own site lists a B.Sc. with that subject. Grey means it was not found or not confirmed. The NIRF rank is the college's place among all degree colleges in India, whatever the stream.

Left out, among NIRF ranks 1 to 76: 7 colleges whose own site shows no B.Sc. in these subjects (commerce, humanities, social-work or home-science colleges) and 19 whose site we could not read directly, so their subjects are not confirmed here. Check a college's own admission page before you apply.

Science-first institutes

These are not degree colleges, so NIRF ranks them in other categories. Each is a pure-science or maths route after Class 12 and has its own entrance.
