The semi-perimeter of an equilateral triangle with side 6 cm is:
s = (6+6+6)/2 = 18/2 = 9.
Find the area of a triangle with sides 13, 14, 15 cm.
s=(13+14+15)/2=21. Area=√(21×8×7×6)=√7056=84cm².
ABCD is a quadrilateral with AB=9, BC=40, CD=28, DA=15, and ∠ABC=90°. Find its area.
ΔABC (right at B): area=½×9×40=180. AC=√(81+1600)=41. ΔACD: s=(41+28+15)/2=42; area=√(42×1×14×27)=√15876=126. Total=180+126=306m².
