The coordinates of the origin are:
The origin is the intersection of the x-axis and y-axis, so its coordinates are (0,0).
Three points A(1,2), B(3,4), C(5,6) are:
Slope AB=(4−2)/(3−1)=1; Slope BC=(6−4)/(5−3)=1. Equal slopes → collinear.
Show that A(5,−2), B(6,4), C(7,−2) are vertices of an isosceles triangle. Which two sides are equal?
AB = √(1+36)=√37. BC = √(1+36)=√37. AC = √(4+0)=2. So AB = BC = √37, hence isosceles.
